Cashier, seorang lelaki bernama Kenny, yang sedang menjaga kaunter order terus tutup kaunter dan layan lelaki OKU tua itu walau mengetahui risiko yang dia bakal dibuang kerja disebabkan perkara itu. Bukan itu sahaja, cashier itu turut potong order lelaki OKU tu kecil-kecil dan suapkan lelaki itu. Wanita yang melihat menitiskan air mata dan post kisah ini di FB dan terus viral. Never let it be said that there are no more heroes: what this McDonald’s employee does, will go right to your heart. And indeed right through the middle! Destiny Carreno from Chicago just wanted to quickly grab a bite at McDonald’s. But while waiting in line, she saw a man in a wheelchair steer straight towards the counter. At first no one knew what he wanted as he could not speak clearly. But then he glanced at a sign on his lap which read: HELP ME, PLEASE! An employee reacted immediately and took care of the disabled man.
The employee (of whom we only know his first name, KENNY) ordered him a value meal and took him to a table. But that wasn’t all: Kenny also took the time to cut up the food into small pieces and to feed the disabled man. Calmly and with a lot of patience. He did this even though he put his job at risk (since the working conditions at McDonald’s are often very hard and leave no time for personal gestures). But he did it anyway!
Afterward, Destiny Carreno posted this picture on Facebook. What she wrote underneath will touch you to the core:
Seeing this today brought tears to my eyes! Compassion has NOT gone out of style… To be honest, I thought the cashier wasn’t going to help, especially during rush hour in downtown Chicago, but to my shock, he shut down his register and disappeared from view…The cashier came out from the kitchen, sat down, and began cutting the man’s meal and helped him eat! At that point, the tears started to gather in my eyes. My heart was so appreciative for what he did. I couldn’t contain my emotions in the crowded restaurant! This employee, who put everything on hold for this man, went above and beyond his responsibilities to help this handicapped customer out. That was the kindest and most humble thing I had ever seen.”
It really does the soul good to see a story like this sometimes. It shows that there are still people who have their heart in the right place.
